Paddle East did its best to help promote the enjoyment of paddling, featuring the rental of our great Swift canoes and kayaks!
Rental Policy
We have been doing some additional research into Cold Water Shock (www.coldwaterbootcamp.com) and cold water injuries in general so we have decided to adjust our rental parameters for next season as follows:
1) The water temperature must be 14 degrees or more
2) The combination of water and air temperature must be at least 31 degrees
For example: water temp is 14 and air temp is 17, 14+17=31 Let's Paddle!

Rental Rules:
1. Reservations are not required but are recommended. A valid credit card and/or driver's license will be required to reserve/rent with Paddle East. We will also
require your contact information. We reserve the right to charge 50% of the rental cost for a "no show".
2. If you have reserved a boat and wish to paddle the full time period allotted to you, please arrive 10-20 minutes
prior to the time of your reservation to allow us to complete the required paperwork, ie. sign a waiver, size equipment, review the condition of the boat.
3. All paddlers must be 19 years of age or be accompanied by an adult who will be paddling with them and each paddler
must sign a rental waiver form prior to your rental.
4. Paddle East rental boats are for use on Lakes Banook and MicMac only. There will be no car-topping and/or taking
Paddle East boats to another location.
5. You will be required, with a Paddle East representative, to review the condition of the rental boat prior to and
upon completion of your paddling excursion. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear with be charged to you at a
repair rate of $35.00/hr plus materials and HST.
6. You will be required to supply a properly fitted PFD for any children in your party.
Rental Rewards:
*Rental fees, to a maximum of $100, may be deducted from the purchase price of any new Paddle East canoe or kayak.
*Pre-paid Paddling Packs - Say that three times fast! You can save when you pre-pay for your rentals: (prices DO NOT include HST)
